セブンスター・7・ボックス
セブンスター・7・ボックス launched on 1 July 2004 and still sits at 7 mg. Like the 10 mg box it was reissued as a soft pack on 1 July 2014 and that soft pack was withdrawn in December 2018, leaving the box as the surviving format.
The tobacco is the same domestic blend with the charcoal filter. Nothing distinguishes the 7 from the 10 mechanically — both are filtered king-size packs of twenty at ¥600. The difference is a yield figure and a tar reduction, and Japanese low-tar labelling is conventionally stated in multiples of one milligram, which is why this slot exists at all.
| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Tobacco type | Blended, domestic leaf-centred (国産葉中心) |
| Tar | 7 mg |
| Nicotine | 0.6 mg — JT current; ja.wikipedia gives 0.7 mg |
| Carbon monoxide | not published |
| Length | 85 mm (king size) |
| Format | Box, filtered (charcoal filter) |
| Packs per carton | not published |
| Pack price | ¥600 JPY |
| Released | 1 July 2004 |
The nicotine figure is contested. JT’s current product table gives 0.6 mg; ja.wikipedia’s spec table gives 0.7 mg for the same product. Both are recorded here: JT is taken as authoritative for the product as sold today, and the archive does not pretend the disagreement is not there.
The same disagreement does not appear for the 10 mg box, where both sources agree on 0.9 mg, which suggests the 7 mg figure was revised at some point without either source recording when. The archive does not date the change, because neither source does.
None yet. All three axes are zero, which the site reads as “not rated” rather than as a score of nought, so the rankings table shows a dash until somebody writes them.

セブンスター・10・ボックス
A 10 mg step down from the original, launched 1990 — and the same day the brand refreshed its entire low-tar end, a programme it repeated in 2014 and then partly unwound.

セブンスター・4
A 4 mg variant that existed for nine years, launched July 2014 and withdrawn June 2023. Part of a four-product low-tar refresh that has since been almost entirely retired.
