Seven Stars 1

セブンスター・1

セブンスター・1 launched on 1 July 2014 at 1 mg and 0.1 mg, priced at ¥460 rather than the ¥600 the rest of the 2014 refresh carried, and was withdrawn in December 2017. It existed for three and a half years, which is the shortest run of any variant in this entry set.

1 mg is the lowest tar figure JT has published for a Japanese cigarette. Nothing in the current range comes close: the lowest current figure is 5 mg.

December 2017 was a large withdrawal month for the brand rather than a single-product decision. The same month took out セブンスター・リアルリッチ, セブンスター・リアルスモーク, and the menthol ビート・8 and スマッシュ・8 boxes, all of which had launched in 2013 or 2015. The brand pruned hard and has not revisited the low end since, having added 18 mg products at the top in 2022 and 2025 instead.

Rating

None yet. All three axes are zero, which the site reads as “not rated” rather than as a score of nought, so the rankings table shows a dash until somebody writes them.
